Tasks
- Assist in planning and facilitating a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children including those with special needs.
- In conjunction with lead teacher complete childrens daily communication forms semi-annual assessments anecdotal records and positive communications with parents including parent/teacher conferences.
- Maintain physical environment to ensure sanitation and safety of the children and staff in compliance with DHS licensing regulationsNAEYC and Keystone Star accreditations. Provide support as requested in the plan for licensing and monitors visits
- Develop and maintain Professional Development Record (PDR) through in-service and outside training
- Assume lead teacher classroom responsibilities in the event of his/her absence
- All other duties as required to ensure the successful operation of the center
- Record time worked by clocking-in and -out at your designated timeclock
Requirements
- Two (2) years experience working with children required
- CDA AA or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills reflecting strong customer service and the ability to interact effectively with children staff and guardians
