Prefers 3 years. Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers. (But should have experience in a large/ high volume similar setting). Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: Circulate Sterile vaginal exam and competent in immediate newborn care Certs: BCLS AWHONN Intermediate and NRP JOB DETAILS: RATIOS: 2:1 average 20 births in 24hrs and 30-40 admits 40 Visits/Day 20 Rooms Unit Will Accept 13 - 26 Week Contracts! SHIFT: *48 hours can be offered. If Accepting 48 Hours NO OT until after 48 hours are billed. 12 HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15 ***RTO: 7 DAYS MAX for AYA AUTO OFFER*** Call Requirement: NONE Float Requirement: *FLOAT REQUIRED AS NEEDED. Special Maternity Care high risk OB unit. Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for all intrapartum and for high-risk antepartum and postpartum care. We care for under 16 weeks high risk patients too on our high risk maternity unit. The Birthing Care Unit has an obstetrical triage unit to allow for screening of patients prior to admission and to perform routine outpatient procedures such as antenatal fetal surveillance intravenous hydration and medication administration. Scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean Births and rescue cervical cerclage are performed. SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: **Unit VERY FAST PACED busier and higher acuity than might be normally expected. May not be realistic for nurses to take 48hr contracts on this unit due to how busy it is. Strongly prefer RN with circulate to OR experience. UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS EPIC SBAR.
