Job Summary
Job Title: Director of Quality PCB Manufacturing
Location: Central West IL
Compensation: $100000 $120000 annually Benefits Relocation Assistance

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Director to lead the quality assurance and control functions for our Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in electronics or PCB production environments ensuring compliance with industry standards driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of quality across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO IPC and customer requirements.
- Develop implement and monitor quality assurance strategies policies and procedures for PCB manufacturing.
- Manage and mentor the quality team including engineers inspectors and technicians.
- Partner with production engineering and supply chain teams to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.
- Conduct audits (internal and external) and manage customer quality concerns root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Develop quality metrics dashboards and reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with suppliers to maintain incoming material quality standards and resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management or related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 9 years of progressive quality experience within PCB electronics manufacturing or semiconductor industries including at least 3 years in a leadership/director role.
- Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes (fabrication assembly testing SMT reflow etc.).
- Experience with ISO 9001 IPC standards and industry-specific certifications.
- Proven expertise in root cause analysis corrective actions and quality tools (FMEA PPAP 8D SPC).
- Hands-on experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (Green/Black Belt a plus).
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to relocate to Addison IL (relocation package provided).
