Job Description
The Network Administrator will be responsible for supervising supporting and managing distributed LAN/WAN environments in a production environment. The Network Administrator must have an understanding of a complex combination of various technologies and operating systems and be able to design and implement network solutions.
Responsibilities
Monitor service management systems to ensure that operational issues are properly addressed;
Ensure compliance with standard practices within the team including security and other company IT policies;
Participate in on-call scheduling for after-hours escalations;
Design and implement new infrastructure as part of projects;
Proactively recommend projects based on monitoring prior expertise and hardware knowledge;
Work closely with counterparts to ensure the definition and strict adherence to technology standards both locally and globally;
Work with the production architecture group to gather requirements design and deploy network infrastructure;
Work with members of the system support team to resolve complex multi-platform issues;
Provide Level 3/4 support for the companys Wi-Fi LAN MAN and WAN infrastructures.
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of English is required as the position involves communicating with teams outside Quebec.
