Shift: Rotating 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Schedule: 36 hours per week Every other weekend Every other holiday
Pay Rate: $1944 per week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for an exciting contract opportunity in Atlanta Georgia. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing and managing patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions providing ventilatory support performing diagnostic procedures and delivering high-quality respiratory care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and manage acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
Initiate monitor and adjust ventilatory support using lung-protective strategies.
Perform diagnostic procedures including ABGs sputum collection bedside spirometry and capnography.
Provide respiratory support during patient transport and transfers.
Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team (RRT) activations; assist with intubations and conscious sedation.
Administer therapeutic gases aerosolized medications and manage non-invasive ventilation.
Assist with bronchoscopies and support airway management across hospital units.
Maintain artificial airways suctioning and tracheostomy care.
Deliver airway clearance therapies (e.g. PEP CPT).
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and document care accurately.
Precept and mentor new staff and students.
Maintain respiratory equipment and participate in continuing education.
Provide excellent service to patients families and colleagues.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
Current certifications: AHA BLS ACLS PALS.
RRT Certification (NBRC) required.
