The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity acute care environment. This role requires strong critical care experience advanced airway management skills and the ability to support trauma-level patient populations.
Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Facility may call off up to one shift every two weeks
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted (radius rules apply)
All RTO and special scheduling requests must be submitted upfront and are subject to facility approval
Active South Carolina RRT license (must be in hand at submission)
BLS (required)
ACLS (required)
Pending licenses not accepted
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
Trauma Level I experience required
Adult Critical Care experience required
Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
Minimum 1 year of EPIC charting experience required
Airway & Respiratory Care
Extubation
Nasal oral and tracheostomy airway placement and care
Suctioning (oral and tracheal)
Pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
Medication Administration
Experience administering respiratory medications including (but not limited to):
Albuterol Atrovent Combivent Flovent inhaled steroids
Ispurel Lidocaine Perforomist Pulmicort
Racemic epinephrine Spiriva Terbutaline sulfate
Tobramycin Xopenex
Delivery methods:
Aerosol mask and trach setups
Metered-dose inhalers (MDI)
Medihalers
Oxygen & Ventilation
High-flow nasal cannula
Trach collar oxygen therapy
BiPAP and CPAP
Mechanical ventilation management:
Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
Ventilator weaning
