REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING

SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing ensures that the catering & conventions department is in operational level in regards to service procedures and Riverside Hotel Standards. Works directly under the Director of Sales & Marketing but maintains close communication with Banquet Department Sales Managers and the Food & Beverage staff.

Must have prior experience with Delphi.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Includes the following.

Develops customer menus floor plans drafts Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and letters as well as organizes all other arrangements / pre planning as they relate to assigned groups to detail.

Controls the audio/visual and banquet set up for assigned groups.

Coordinates the presentation and service of food and beverage products of functions to ensure highest quality at all times.

Monitor the performance of the events through verifications and analysis of customer satisfaction survey.

Coordinates pre and post convention meetings when applicable

Reviews with all Managers any information of past present and upcoming events.

Coordinates functions and activities with other department heads as appropriate.

Ensures that all BEOs and paperwork has been completed properly.

Controls all definite files as to contracts and details committed

Ensures proper billing to guest folios and master accounts.

Works closely with accounting as to billing arrangements.

Demonstrates working knowledge of service standards

Adheres to all Riverside Hotel Safety and Sanitation Guidelines.

Other duties may be assigned.

1. Represent the hotel and conduct conference with customers by telephone or in person to solicit for business both group & catering as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing

2. Responds to customer inquiries and negotiates contracts with customers and vendors.

3. Rebook functions and follow-up with customers post event through proper tracing and booking dates
