The purpose of this role is to support underwriters in evaluating Retail & Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) risks by managing inquiries preparing underwriting data liaising with intermediaries and finalising transactions. The role involves ensuring adherence to regulatory standards both internally and externally and conducting market research to provide insights to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist underwriters in underwriting Retail & Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) risks including triaging inquiries and closing transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
  • Regularly collect compile and analyse market information to share with the team.
  • Track report and analyse the teams referrals backlogs and productivity.
  • Be the digital ambassador of the team.
  • Maintain product system and process knowledge.
  • Attend relevant product and skill courses for professional development.
  • Develop good working relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders regarding queries.
  • Maintain accurate data in systems and databases.

Work Experience:

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • Some underwriting experience in insurance business.
  • Relevant policy documentation handling experience.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
