Job Summary
Clinton Middle School is a vibrant and diverse learning community preparing to open a brand-new middle school in two years. Collaboration is at the heart of our workteachers partner closely within grade-level teams and across disciplines to ensure every student are seeking an English Learner (EL) Teacher to join our team. This educator will support both newcomers and more experienced multilingual students through dedicated EL instruction and by working collaboratively with general education colleagues. The success of our diverse EL student population is a district priority and this position includes comprehensive support along with numerous professional development :Co-teach and co-plan with general education teachers to support EL students in multiple settingsUse high-quality instructional materials to build engaging and effective lessonsImplement a variety of teaching strategies and assessments to meet diverse learning needsDesign lessons that reflect understanding of the curriculum child development and student strengthsFoster an inclusive classroom that values multiple perspectives and cultural backgroundsUse data to inform instruction monitor student growth and guide learning outcomesTeaching and Learning Environment:Creates a culturally responsive welcoming and motivating classroom atmosphereBuilds strong relationships by understanding students strengths and areas for growthMaintains clear and effective communication with parents colleagues and administratorsDemonstrates consistent and effective classroom management skills(Multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply)
