We are looking to hire a high-energy and value-adding talented risk analyst to join Modulr the fastest growing payments business in the UK and Europe.

About Us

At Modulr our mission is to move money efficiently to power business productivity. We are building a new digital payments service to make money flow more efficiently through businesses and the economy. This is a new type of payments account that is built for businesses that need faster easier and more reliable ways to move money.

Our flexible platform and innovate approach allows our customers to utilise our payments account instead of a traditional bank account. Our accounts come with a sort code and account number access to payment systems (eg Faster Payments and Visa) and everything our customers need from a payments account. They can instantly open as many accounts as they need automate how they make and receive payments as well as the reconciliation processes these create. All in real time 24/7 through their own systems utilising our API that integrates into any platform.

Our founding team has a wealth of experience in the payments industry and growing successful businesses. Modulr is backed by payments giants PayPal Ventures and FIS Ventures as well as startup and scale up specialists Blenheim Chalcot General Atlantic Frog and Highland Europe which enables us to leverage their resources and expertise to drive our growth initiatives. The Role

As a Risk Analyst in our Second Line Risk team youll play a key role in maintaining Modulrs strong risk management culture across Europe.
This is a great opportunity for a mid-level professional who wants to deepen their experience in fintech risk management work with industry experts and contribute to a rapidly growing regulated payments business.

What Youll Do

• Support the day-to-day operation of our risk management framework and help embed risk awareness across first line teams.
• Identify assess and monitor risks ensuring mitigation plans are fit for purpose.
• Analyse data from incidents and control testing to spot trends root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in risk governance forums contributing analysis insights and constructive challenge.
• Track and report on risk remediation actions escalating issues where necessary.
• Prepare high-quality risk reports and management information to inform decision-making.
• Promote a strong risk culture acting as a trusted partner to teams across the business.
• Maintain awareness of the Dutch and EU regulatory landscape to support risk documentation and compliance.
• Contribute to broader second-line initiatives such as ad hoc reviews audits and regulatory requests.

About You

• 3 years of experience in risk management internal control within a regulated financial services or fintech environment.
• Solid understanding of risk management principles and how they apply to operational technology or regulatory risks.
• Exposure to payments e-money or financial infrastructure is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills able to interpret data identify patterns and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management confident communicating with and constructively challenging senior stakeholders.
• Clear and concise communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proactive organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environment.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
