What youll be doing

The Staff Accountant is an integral member of our Corporate Accounting team and will be responsible for all of the NWA corporate and our sister companies accounts payable functions. This includes:

  • Receive process and allocate invoices utilizing BILL.
  • Obtain proper approvals for invoices and payments utilizing BILL
  • Process employee expense reports utilizing Concur
  • Prepare backup documentation for electronic vendor files
  • Compile and report LM-10 transactions for expense reports
  • Maintains vendor listings manages tax exemption certificates
  • Manage companys transit and parking program including communication & employee inquiries
  • Calculate and submit the Department of Labor & Industry quarterly reports
  • Complete mail and file the IRS Form 1099
  • Perform various reconciliations of accounts

Eligibility: This position is open to current employees who are located within the Greater Seattle area. Only local candidates will be considered. Relocation assistance is not available.

Who you are

  • Knowledgeable. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices in accordance with GAAP
  • Experienced. 2 years experience in Accounts Payable/Accounting
  • Educated. Degree in Accounting or related field preferred or combination education/experience
  • Communicator. Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Analytical. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Organized. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Technically Savvy. Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of QuickBooks BILL & Concur preferred
