Job Summary
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Executive Chef to join our team on a one-year contract basis with the possibility of an extension. This position involves providing culinary services for an executives primary residence. The ideal candidate will be highly organized detail-oriented and proactive with exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks household experience is highly recommended.
Responsibilities
- Menu Planning and Food Preparation:Plan menus purchase ingredients prepare and serve meals for the primary residence ensuring all dietary requirements of family members are met.
- Special Events:Prepare meals for private dinners and special events held at the primary residence.
- On-Call Catering:Provide on-call catering services as needed whether at the residence or at different venues.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Chef in a similar position preferably in a hotel setting and private household.
- Comprehensive understanding of various cooking methods regional cuisines ingredients equipment and procedures.
- Minimum of two (2) years of industry experience within a recognized food service establishment.
- Ability to handle emergency situations with accuracy and speed providing effective solutions.
- Familiarity with industry best practices basic computational ability and basic computer skills.
- Culinary certification is a plus.
Additional Information :
Benefits
- Reimbursement for health insurance premiums at a rate equal to the lesser of 75% or $8500.
- Coverage for New York State Unemployment Insurance New York Disability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance.
- Applicable Social Security Tax (FICA) will be deducted from the employees pay.
- Federal Income Tax New York State and New York City withholding tax as appropriate will be deducted from the employees salary.
Conditions of Employment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
