Responsibilities
Our program supports unclassified and classified software development and integration services. Some of the work we will do is brand new Big Data data analysis Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Learning (ML) and advanced analytics while other work will be refining and improving legacy development as well as providing operations and maintenance.
We are seeking a Manager to join our line management team providing first-level line management to 5 to10 technical addition to Managerial responsibilities the Manager will be a technical performer on the program in one of the following disciplines: Software Development Test Information Assurance Systems Engineering or Operations. It is estimated that 20% of the Managers time will be performing first-level line management duties and 80% of the Managers time will be performing technical tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor employees as a first-level supervisor
- Develop performance and professional development plans and conduct employee reviews
- Approve timecards and expense reports
- Participate in staffing efforts to meet program and department growth objectives
- Work with other managers across the program to identify and assign/share resources
- Responsible for hiring actions as well as disciplinary actions for personnel
- Ensure employees comply with all Peraton policies and procedures (timekeeping accuracy daily time reporting mandatory training etc.)
- Work with limited direction on complex assignments
Qualifications
RequiredQualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in systems software or related engineering discipline
- 10 plus years of experience working for government customers in Engineering Integration Software Development Testing Information Assurance or Operations
- Strong leadership verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and deal with competing priorities
- Active TS/SCI with poly or TS with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain a polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for or with DIA
- Software development program experience
- Systems Engineering to include requirements development and analysis; understanding of information security requirements; working with customer control gates
- PMP certification

Target Salary Range
$135000 - $216000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
