Wastewater Supervisor
The City is seeking a dedicated Wastewater Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our wastewater collection and treatment systems. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards while maintaining efficient reliable service for the community. The supervisor will oversee system inspections maintenance and monitoring as well as conduct routine sampling and analysis. Additional responsibilities include maintaining precise records preparing detailed reports and ensuring the timely submission of required documentation to regulatory agencies. PAY - $34.41 $43.92 per hour plus overtime and $300 per week on-call pay and pay premiums of 2.5% Wastewater Collections DSS and 2.5% Wastewater Treatment DSS
SCHEDULE - The regular schedule for this position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Subject to 24-hour call out 7 days a week in emergencies during assigned on-call weeks.
MOVING EXPENSES - The City will reimburse for up to $5000 of eligible moving accordance with IRS regulations reimbursement for moving expenses is a taxable fringe benefit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Three or more years experience in wastewater operations preferably with formal training or certification in sewage treatment and collections.
- Oregon Wastewater Treatment Level II certification and/or Oregon Wastewater Collection Level IV certification or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Class B commercial drivers license with air brakes hazardous materials and tank endorsements or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire. (Training provided)
- Oregon Department of Agriculture Public Pesticide Applicator certification with Right-of-Way License or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire.
- Post-job offer a background check (including state and federal criminal records social security number trace sex offender registry and motor vehicle records checks) and drug screen will be required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Subject to rotating emergency 24-hour call out.
- Must be able to use a respirator as determined by a professionally licensed health care professional (PLHCP) while performing various work tasks.
- Must live within 30 lawful driving minutes of City limits within one year of hire.
- Must have reliable phone service. City cell phone will be provided.
