CHAPLAINS OFFICE

The Chaplains Office was established as early as the founding of Hong Kong Baptist University a leading liberal arts University in Asia proudly built upon the heritage of Christian higher education. Operated with the support of donations the Chaplains Office plays an important role in maintaining a Christian presence and heritage of the University and is committed to character building of students and to provide quality pastoral care and spiritual support to the University community.

Administrative Assistant ()

The appointee will be required to perform administrative and clerical support to Chaplains Office as follows:

Responsibilities:

• Maintainingofficedaily operations;
• Handing frontline services;
• Supporting administration tasks and promoting variousofficeactivities;
• Updatingthewebsite;
• Designing promotional materials;
• Supervising student helpers; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Anassociate degree or equivalent qualification;fresh graduates will be considered;
• Good communication skills and good computer literacy;
• Proficiency inboth written and spoken English and Chinese; and
• Self-motivated able to work both independentlyand as part of a teamwith strong sense of responsibility.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend for a written test.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.
