Job Description
Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Cincinnati OH 45219
Schedule: 10:30 PM 7:00 AM 13 Weeks
Compensation:
Local: Up to $1080 weekly / $27 per hour
Travel: Up to $1243 weekly / $31.08 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services by ensuring that all instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated sterilized and prepared for use. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented skilled in sterilization procedures and knowledgeable in infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Disassemble clean and disinfect instruments and equipment using manual and mechanical processes.
Operate decontamination equipment (sonic washer cart washers washer sterilizers decontaminators).
Retrieve transport and restock reusable instruments and equipment throughout the facility.
Assemble instrument trays and packs following written instructions and protocols.
Inspect instruments for sharpness cleanliness and functionality.
Apply sterilization wrappers seal packs and ensure accurate labeling.
Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (steam Sterrad etc.) with correct cycle selection.
Accurately document sterilization processes and biological monitoring per policy.
Maintain sterile storage area ensuring proper rotation and handling of instruments.
Pull surgical case supplies from computer-generated preference lists.
Follow universal precautions and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of central service/sterile processing experience.
Strong knowledge of sterilization methods and equipment operation.
Education & Licensure:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
