We are looking for a motivated Hydraulic Modeller with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience to join Climate Adaptation team Water at Ramboll. The role involves supporting hydraulic and hydrological modelling projects contributing to flood risk assessments and developing climate adaptation solutions. Candidates should have hands-on experience with HEC and MIKE modelling tools strong analytical abilities and good communication skills. Knowledge of Python scripting for automation and data handling will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support 1D 2D and coupled hydraulic models using HEC-RAS (1D/2D) and MIKE (HydroRiver/21/URBAN Mike).
- Collect process and analyse hydrological and meteorological datasets for model setup and calibration.
- Prepare maps figures and visual outputs to effectively present modelling results.
- Contribute to the design and assessment of flood management measures (levees storage basins stormwater systems etc.).
- Collaborate with engineers hydrologists GIS experts and environmental specialists in multidisciplinary projects.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering Water Resources Hydrology or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in hydraulic and hydrological modelling.
- Proficiency in HEC suite and MIKE suite.
- Good working knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS) for data preparation and result analysis.
- Strong analytical report writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Python scripting (automation data analysis model post-processing) is highly desirable.
