About the Role
My client is an oil and gas company based in Perth looking for a Data Analyst to join their team. This role will focus on turning operational and business data into insights that improve decision-making across production maintenance and safety. You will work closely with engineers operations and business stakeholders to build reports dashboards and analyses that deliver real value.
Responsibilities
- Collect clean and analyse data from operational and business systems.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for different stakeholders.
- Identify patterns trends and anomalies in data to support decisions.
- Translate complex data into clear actionable insights.
- Work with engineers and operations teams to define reporting requirements.
- Ensure accuracy consistency and reliability of reporting outputs.
- Document processes and share knowledge with the wider team.
Skills & Experience
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and analysis.
- Proficiency with data visualisation tools (Power BI Tableau or Looker).
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
