Job Summary
Barista- Kansas City Community College
About Kansas City Community College:
Prepare and serve coffee espresso drinks teas smoothies and other café beverages
Operate espresso machines grinders and other kitchen equipment
Greet customers take orders accurately and handle transactions via POS system
Ensure a clean and sanitary workspace at all times including counters equipment and seating areas
Restock inventory monitor supply levels and communicate restocking needs
Follow all health and safety regulations and college food service policies
Provide prompt courteous and knowledgeable service
Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
Previous customer service or food service experience
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable punctual and team-oriented
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
Previous barista or café experience
Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Varies depending on campus events and academic calendar
- Typically MondayFriday occasional evenings/weekends Work hours (6am-2:30pm)
