Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student (812 Month Term)

Location: Port Coquitlam BC
Full-Time On-Site
Start Date: January 2026
Hourly Wage: $24$33 (based on experience and academic year)
Are you ready to kickstart your engineering career with real-world experience in design and manufacturing Corwest Fabrications Ltd is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student to join our dynamic team for an 8 to 12-month term. This is your chance to gain hands-on exposure to ASME-certified projects hands-on experience in the manufacturing environment with opportunities to contribute to drafting and design support and grow your professional skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
What Youll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of shop drawings fabrication details and as-built documentation.
- Support Engineering and Drafting department.
- Support Quality Control department.
- Gain exposure to shop fabrication.
- Support project documentation data entry and material traceability.
- Learn and apply safety procedures in a shop environment.
What You Bring
- Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing or a related technical Co-op program (minimum 2nd year completed).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a strong asset.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).

Eligibility
To qualify you must:
- Be currently enrolled in a recognized Co-op program.
