Summary

We are looking for an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) Application Development Lead to join our team and take ownership of designing building and maintaining a web-based internal tool that will be used by non-technical end users. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in AWS cloud services and application development on classified Sponsor systems who can guide the engineering team in delivering secure scalable and compliant solutions.

You will be responsible for leading the technical design and implementation of the tool ensuring that development practices align with Sponsor requirements security standards and federal compliance frameworks. Beyond initial delivery you will continue to lead the team post-deployment by managing maintenance updates and feature enhancements to ensure ongoing performance compliance and usability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design development and deployment of the web-based tool using AWS cloud services on Sponsors classified systems.
• Drive and implement application architecture to ensure reliability and compliance with Sponsor and federal requirements.
• Oversee coding standards code reviews and QA practices.
• Drive the integration of APIs databases and other services to support functionality for non-technical users.
• Partner with compliance officers legal and the Program Managers to ensure development documentation and reporting meet regulatory expectations.
• Work closely with the IT PM and Sponsor stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Continuously improve system reliability monitoring and automation.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelors degree in Cloud Computing Computer Science Information Technology Information Systems Cybersecurity or similar technical field
• 5 years experience in programming languages and web application technologies and integration
• 6 years in application design and development of classified IC systems
• 6 years combined experience in Sponsors AWS environment cloud systems administration cloud environment management and compliance assessments
• Experience with user interface/user experience (UI/UX) iterative design and development
• Experience with Agile requirements management and sprint planning
• Certified in AWS or equivalent cloud technology
• Experience with SecDevOps such as CI/CD and testing suites

Desired Qualifications

• Masters degree in any of the above fields
• Experience with Agile PM tools such as Jira or Confluence
• Experience with TMOD Archer
• 10 years experience working in the IC
• Experience programming with AngularJS JavaScript JAVA HTML CSS
• Familiarity with relational databases and NoSQL data solutions SQL and other query languages
• Experience with Kubernetes Terraform Docker or similar solutions
• Experience designing developing and implementing FISA 702 or EO12333 compliant capabilities and systems for mission use
• Experience using Human Centered Design
• Experience Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
• Experience designing or developing solutions using data visualizationaggregationand reporting tools such asPowerBIor Tableau
