Job Summary

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct payroll processing
    1. Compile payroll data (i.e. hours worked from electronic timekeeping system) and input HR/payroll data and track the bi-weekly payroll and timecard cycle
    2. Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
    3. Maintain record of vacation and sick leave
    4. Prepare detailed and accurate payroll reports for accounting department.
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Assist as needed in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Review and update HR and employee related forms to ensure forms are current and compliant and all company related entities are using current and consistent forms
  • Assist in development and implementation of HR policies
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Create employee communication materials for HR to employees
  • Assist with updating of corporate records and policies (handbook checklists)
  • Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Coordinate open enrollments changes and training for employee benefit programs
  • Respond to human resources-related inquiries
  • Create and initiate employee engagement plans
  • Organize team building activities
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in HR business administration or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years HR experience
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of state and federal employment regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and strong customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented withexcellent oral written and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers
  • Ability to prioritize workload multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capability to take initiative to complete projects tasks and assignments
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have

  • Knowledge of ADP
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
