Description

We are looking for an Assistant Compliance Business Partner to join our Compliance function within our Health Wealth & Career business - a core area focused on improving employee wellbeing financial security and organizational performance through integrated solutions in benefits retirement investments and more. The The WTW Compliance Functions within HWC aim is to proactively support the Company to generate sustainable value helping the company to deliver good client outcomes manage its conduct protect against regulatory risk and to maintain strong business and regulatory relationships.

As an Assistant Compliance Business Partner youll be a trusted partner to the business and a key contributor to the teams aim of maintaining an efficient independent Compliance Function and framework.

The Role:

  • Establish and maintain an independent Compliance Function and annual Compliance Plan tailored to business needs.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on internal policies procedures and controls.
  • Support compliance risk assessments and provide commercially aware risk-based advice to stakeholders.
  • Identify compliance training needs and deliver targeted programs with business input.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders providing pragmatic guidance and effective challenge on regulatory and conduct matters.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to embed compliance best practices that balance regulatory expectations with business needs.
  • Conduct monitoring activities aligned with the Compliance Plan escalating material issues and breaches appropriately.
  • Deliver accurate compliance metrics and respond to internal/external audit requests.
  • Foster strong relationships across Legal Risk Internal Audit and other key functions to support the Three Lines of Defence model.


Qualifications

The Requirements:

Essential

  • Sound general regulatory and anti-financial crime knowledge/understanding required.
  • A good understanding of regulatory standards as applicable to an insurance business.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team under pressure to tight timelines and without direct supervision.
  • Commercial awareness a commercial and pragmatic approach to managing compliance risks.
  • Proactive and a self-starter.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels to promote an effective and business focused compliance culture.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining excellent understanding of regulatory developments.

Desirable

  • Skills and experience using AI applications e.g. copilot.
  • Progress towards or completion of a relevant insurance (e.g. CII) compliance (e.g. ICA/FICA) or data-science qualification.
