Job Summary

Pay: $85000.00 - $90000.00 per year

Note: This position requires employees to work on a hybrid schedule with four days per week on-site in either the Miami or Tampa office (subject to change after the first 90 days).

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 2 years of bankruptcy or litigation docketing experience using a rules-based docketing software.

Job Description

  • Manage litigation and bankruptcy docketing and calendaring for attorneys and paralegals across multiple practice groups
  • Calculate and calendar critical deadlines using rules-based docketing software (Compulaw strongly preferred)
  • Review pleadings motions and court documents for date-sensitive information and ensure timely notifications
  • Research and gather case party and court information through databases such as PACER Westlaw and CourtDrive
  • Provide guidance on local state and federal court rules filing procedures and deadlines
  • Create and distribute docket reports and apply quality control measures for accuracy and risk management
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys paralegals and staff in weekly team meetings and ongoing projects
  • Support miscellaneous docketing and research assignments as needed

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in litigation or bankruptcy docketing with rules-based docketing software (Compulaw preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of local state and federal court rules and filing procedures
  • Familiarity with litigation and bankruptcy case phases from initiation through appeal
  • Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills detail orientation and ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attorneys staff and court personnel
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
