Retail Shop Duty Manager Ballina

We are delighted to assist a highly successful Convenience Forecourt Retail chain who have a number of shops and are growing. They are known for their distinguished stores and commitment to excellence in fresh food retail and have been recipient of many awards in the industry down through the years.
Full time Supervisor/ Duty Manager or Trainee Manager will be considered but must have a background in Retail Management or as a Shop Supervisor ideally in food or retail product of similar standards.
We are looking for a reliable hard working retail person who enjoys working in a dynamic fast paced customer facing environment. This group have a great track record for promoting within and encouraging retailers to move up to Store Manager.
For the role of Retail Supervisor or Shop Duty Manager and Assistant Manager our client will offer upwards of 32000 -35000 yearly salary DOE 43 contract or between 14 -16ph they also offer staff discount.
Responsibilities for this Retail Duty Manager Job:
- Running shifts by opening and closing the store correctly ensuring the store runs smoothly and maintains the standards expected of the brand
- Working with management to help drive sales control stock levels maintain store standards
- Supervising staff developing and coaching teams in the store review staffs performance and jobs completed and provide feedback to improve performance
- Help the shop manager achieve KPI targets control waste stock loss etc
- Ordering stock controlling stock levels rotating produce and liaising with the store suppliers
Requirements for this Retail Shop Duty Manager Job:
- 1 years of retail management experience ideally within an environment with fresh foods or grocery goods but will consider a background in discount or big box retail
- Some experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
- People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team communicate clear instructions for staff.
- The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Flexible to work either early morning and closing shifts 5 over 7.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A strong work ethic.
