Field Service Engineer Mobile HGV Mechanic

Are you a skilled mechanic or engineer looking for a role that offers variety independence and career progression Were hiring Field Service Engineers to service and maintain municipal plant industrial & specialist vehicles such as HGVssweepers Tankers Grabs RCVs Tippers and forklifts.

About this Role

Every day communities and businesses rely on essential equipment to keep things running smoothly. As a Field Service Engineer youll be out in the field making sure our environmental municipal civil and utilities assetsstay in top condition. From urgent breakdowns to scheduled maintenance youll play a vital role in keeping our clients operational.

• Diagnose repair and maintain DGEMC-owned assets including specialist utilities equipment(Road Sweepers Tankers Grabs RCVs Tippers & Specialist Vehicles/Equipment)
• Respond swiftly to service calls ensuring downtime is minimised
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
• Maintain accurate electronic work records via PDA
• Carry out PMI inspections and complete reports
• Manage your own time and stock levels efficiently

About You

Were looking for a hands-on technician with a problem-solving mindset. If you love working independently and thrive in a dynamic on-the-go role this is for you!

• Level 2 mechanical or engineering qualification (or equivalent)
• Full valid UK driving licence
• Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Confident diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and electrical faults
• Competent in the use of diagnostic equipment
• Class 2 HGV licence desirable but not essential
• Great communicator and able to prioritise workload
