Overview:

DataPath Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Sales who will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales and Business a senior sales leader creating and maintaining relationships with the Department of Defense and industry partners to provide the best C5ISR solutions and services is essential. This individual must be able to work within a team environment as collaboration with internal functions such as engineering and operations is as crucial as working as part of a team with the customer.
Responsibilities:
Identify qualify and pursue new business opportunities with direct and indirect customers in the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry as well as within the Department of Defense and other government agencies prime contractors supplier and industry associations.
Lead a new market and strategic planning process aiming at identifying new growth opportunities in adjacent markets and new customers positioning of new products and services and differentiation from competitors.
Close collaboration with the parent company to identify opportunities to further integrate the Gilat family of products into systems and services provided by DataPath into the U.S. DoD market
Secure follow-on business by deepening and growing existing company relationships with established partners. Extend relationships vertically (to higher level leadership) and laterally (into new program areas and departments) with a goal of improving current position and identifying new opportunities.
Identify core programs of record with relevant business opportunities to engage in large-scale longer-term business pursuits.
Contribute to the strategic planning process for global Defense growth in maintaining knowledge of market trends competitors project/program needs and industrial base.
Provide reliable and continuous updates throughout the sales and business development process to the team and leadership.
Gather and provide market intelligence and trend analysis on short- and long-term customer requirements and direction.
Represent the company at conferences tradeshows and other events where directed.
Manage the customer relationship and deliverables from opportunity identification through contract completion.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree Masters in Business desired
Strong background with U.S. DoD
Proven background in satellite communications and related industries
Experience working with/in a satellite antenna/system and modem technology industry is a must.
Active security clearance preferred.
Proven experience leading and managing large government contracts.
Proven experience in identifying and capturing defense opportunities (both direct and with industry partners)
Excellent written/verbal communication negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external senior executives
Experience serving in the US Defense industry while engaging with foreign publicly traded parent company ownership a plus
Strategic thinker with results-oriented approach to business development
Additional Factors:
Travel 25-50%
Due to contracts with the United States Government candidates must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident.
