Essential Functions:

• Perform expert repairs on desktop and laptop computers accurately diagnosing both hardware and software problems.

• Customize and load software to meet user needs.

• Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipating needs solving complex issues and keeping customers informed on the status of their repairs.

• Manage update and resolve service tickets in a timely manner adhering to Service Level Agreements.

• Install new equipment and provide basic training to users.

• Maintain detailed and thorough documentation of all problems and their resolutions.

• Coordinate with external repair centers and vendors as needed to ensure successful repairs.

• Continuously expand your knowledge of new hardware and software used at the university.

• Uphold security and confidentiality for all sensitive university data.

• Assist with various projects and tasks as needed.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

• A high school diploma with at least three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must have an A Certification.

• The ability to achieve Lenovo Repair Certification and Apple Repair Certification within three months of hire.

• Proven experience working with both Mac OS and Windows-based hardware and workstations.

• Excellent analytical diagnostic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of electrical safety and superior customer service standards.

• The ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Desired Skills or Competencies:

• Experience with hand and power tools.

• A basic understanding of network principles.

• Apple repair experience and AMCT certification.
