About the role:
The Funding Specialist plays a key role in optimising funding streams to support people with disability in achieving meaningful and sustainable employment outcomes. This position ensures that funding sources such as NDIS are:
- Strategically and compliantly applied to maximise opportunities for people with disability
- Aligned with organisational goals and operational delivery
- Used to achieve long-term and meaningful employment outcomes
What youll be doing:
In this role you will be responsible for driving the effective use of employment funding and ensuring compliance with NDIS and funding requirements. You will also build strong connections with internal teams and external stakeholders to create the best outcomes for people with disability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify secure and optimise funding solutions
- Leading the implementation of support ratio and funding optimisation across sites
- Providing training and guidance on funding processes across the division
- Acting as a conduit between operational teams enabling teams and funding bodies to ensure strategic alignment
- Staying up to date with policy changes and funding reforms to inform practice
- Engaging with families carers and guardians to communicate funding changes clearly and positively
- Delivering accurate reporting to support decision-making and governance
- Driving opportunities for funding diversification and supporting leaders in identifying suitable funding for new employment programs
What were looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional with a passion for creating opportunities for people with disability. To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Experience managing funding streams within the disability community aged care or health sectors
- Knowledge and experience with NDIS funding (highly desirable)
- Background in program or project management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical organisational and problem-solving abilities
- High level of attention to detail and outcomes-focused mindset
- A bachelors degree or equivalent experience (desirable)
