The Saw Operator is a key team member that will be responsible for cutting the materials and maintaining high quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce.
What youll do:
- Measure materials as specified by blueprints
- Cut and load metal tubing on the production saw to supply our parts welding team with the materials needed
- Coordinate tasks according to engineering priorities and plans
- Communicate with the Second Shift to ensure a smooth transition
- Follow all safety protocols and quality standards
- Meet daily production goals in order of priority
- Machine maintenance (adding coolant and replacing the blades as needed)
- Report on progress to managers engineers etc.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to read a metric tape measure
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate and report progress and issues effectively
- Reliable and punctual
- Construction experience preferred
- Welding experience preferred but not required
