The Saw Operator is a key team member that will be responsible for cutting the materials and maintaining high quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce.
What youll do:
Measure materials as specified by blueprints
Cut and load metal tubing on the production saw to supply our parts welding team with the materials needed
Coordinate tasks according to engineering priorities and plans
Communicate with the Second Shift to ensure a smooth transition
Follow all safety protocols and quality standards
Meet daily production goals in order of priority
Machine maintenance (adding coolant and replacing the blades as needed)
Report on progress to managers engineers etc.
What youll need:
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to read a metric tape measure
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to communicate and report progress and issues effectively
Reliable and punctual
Construction experience preferred
Welding experience preferred but not required
