Specialist Application SpecialistAbout the Role:
Candidate would be working in collaboration with SMEs Business stakeholders to understand the existing system client deliverables meeting SLAs and gaining product knowledge and workflows. Being in financial domain the Application support professional need to monitor the performance of applications hosted on multiple servers. They need to configure manage and implement any recent changes in the existing application. Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with the Application.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and troubleshoot Banking applications such as Prologue Vantage Task Management Transaction Manager Risk Hub etc.
- Must have experience in L2/L3 Support Diagnosis investigation resolution coordination with business Application owners Infrastructure support.
- Work on server health check-up and constant remediation to keep memory health in check through Splunk.
- Validate morning processing and alert generation process are complete for all the Clients.
- Document SOPs for the Project activities and keep SOPs up to date.
- New Client onboarding on production & contingency servers that include setting up file system and database for Brookfield Premier Precision and Signature cores.
- Determines how to best implement the requested changes / customization. This includes working with Development staff Product Managers QA staff and / or other Business Analysts.
- Incidents Handling Issues such as unable to launch application frozen at log in screen Low disk space etc. and follow SOP and complete task within SLA
- Change management for various Deployment/Upgrade activity DB Migration support et
- Audit Management - RFI and RFD.
- RITM - File Transmissions/MOVEit; Provisioning Support Request login into Dev environment etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8 years of Banking domain experience with exposure to Windows server and Web applications
- Must be able to automate deployments using PowerShell SQL script & Python
- Must have knowledge of application deployments and upgrades.
- Working knowledge of Failover Cluster manager and MS SQL queries
- Must have familiarity with Batch/Transaction Processing process validation techniques SSL and other hosting environments.
- Must have experience with Service Now tool.
- Experience with Moogsoft Splunk & Dynatrace tools
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills since this position requires extensive communication between technical and non-technical audiences.
