Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Scrutiny Office as a Scrutiny Officer supporting the Overview and Scrutiny Committees in their vital role of holding the Executive and senior officers to account and policy development.
This is a key role within the Councils democratic governance structure. The role involves working closely with elected members and supporting committee meetings. It also includes gathering and analysing information from a wide range of sources to produce clear timely briefings. Youll also support policy development through project work and respond to ad-hoc requests for information.
Youll play a key role in organising and analysing surveys consultations and questionnaires while also providing administrative support to the scrutiny process. This includes coordinating the attendance of witnesses preparing them for their contributions and representing the Scrutiny Office at meetings when required.
