Description

Are you ready to help shape the future of energy DNVs Columbus Technology Center in Dublin OH is searching for an innovative Materials Corrosion or Mechanical Engineer to lead advanced corrosion and mechanical testing projects. Dive into applied research assessing material performance in various environments that include hydrogen CO2 hydrogen sulfide and more. Your work will directly support vital energy infrastructure and operations while accelerating decarbonization strategies for hydrogen and CO2 transportation and storage.

This position is based in Dublin OH and requires an onsite presence to perform the responsibilities of the position.

What Youll Do:

  • Set up and conduct laboratory experiments including tasks such as:
    • Handling pressurized equipment gases chemicals and test solutions (some environments may involve hazardous substances such as H₂ and H₂S; comprehensive safety training will be provided).
    • Collecting experimental data.
    • Analyzing test specimens utilizing photography microscopy balances and calipers.
  • Design or procure test materials and coordinate machining operations as required.
  • Support projects related to materials selection corrosion testing and analysis by preparing experiments collecting data and compiling comprehensive reports.
  • Engage with clients to develop testing plans and proposals present results and identify opportunities for new business development.
  • Provide project updates and produce final reports upon completion of client projects.
  • Develop technical expertise in one or more subject areas with the goal of working independently as a Project Manager that collaborates with project team members.
  • Present research findings through publication in technical journals and presentations at professional conferences or symposia.
  • Adhere to all Safety Health Environmental and Quality Assurance protocols throughout project assignments.
