Summary:
The Manager of Spiritual Care provides administrative leadership budget and operations oversight and supervision to chaplains and other spiritual care personnel as delegated by the Director. The Manager provides spiritual leadership for Cook Childrens in the areas of pastoral care/counseling ethics bereavement and conflict mediation.
Education & Experience:
- Masters degree from accredited institution with major coursework in theology pastoral care ethics or similar.
- Minimum three years of experience as professional pediatric chaplain.
- Ability to maintain a department budget Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Working knowledge of Kronos and institutional attendance policies.
- Participates in all departmental and medical center mandatory education and training.
- Demonstrates sound professional judgment and maintains a high standard of personal credibility.
- Exhibits professional character attitude and appearance.
- Operates within revises and develops goals objectives policies and procedures. Mediation Training via Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable Standards.
Certification/Licensure:
- Ordination and/or ecclesiastical endorsement as required by denomination.
- Board Certified Chaplain or eligible for certification.
- Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent.
