Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Payment Analyst fluent in Japanese and English to join our Clinical trial payments team. You will be responsible for managing payment processes resolving vendor queries and ensuring compliance with financial policiesespecially for our Japanese market operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and validate vendor invoices and payments for Japan-based transactions
- Respond to payment-related inquiries from Japanese-speaking vendors and internal teams
- Perform reconciliations between systems data interface for each and every specific studies at the time of close out
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and exceptions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Translate and interpret financial documents between Japanese to English
- Support month-end closing and audit processes
- Maintain compliance with local financial regulations and internal controls
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3 or above) and English
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or Business Administration
- 13 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Payment Operations
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle SAP) and invoice automation tools
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Japanese clients or vendors
- Knowledge of Japanese financial regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
