Religious Studies / Sociology Graduate Learning Support Assistant
Kensington & Chelsea September 2025 Start

Are you a recent Religious Studies or Sociology Graduate looking to gain practical experience in education This rewarding Learning Support Assistant role in Kensington & Chelsea offers the chance to inspire and guide young people while developing your own skills for a future career in teaching pastoral care or youth work.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional learning needs

  • Draw on your subject expertise in Religious Studies or Sociology to encourage debate reflection and social awareness

  • Support students with both academic tasks and personal development promoting resilience and inclusivity

  • Assist teachers and the SENCO in delivering tailored learning plans

  • Contribute to a positive classroom environment and wider school community ethos

Person Specification

  • Degree in Religious Studies Sociology Theology or a related discipline

  • Previous experience supporting young people desirable (e.g. mentoring tutoring youth groups or community projects)

  • Strong communication and empathy skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students

  • A patient proactive graduate who is passionate about education and young peoples development
