Job Summary

Were seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Ystrad Mynach.

Reporting to the Management Accountant this is a well-rounded finance role ideal for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Youll be involved in everything from monthly reporting and reconciliations to VAT returns audit support and budgetingmaking this a great opportunity to grow your finance career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate revenue data.
  • Conduct profit & loss analysis and compile monthly financial reports.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and load trade agreement documents into system.
  • Perform foreign exchange revaluations and intercompany netting.
  • Prepare VAT returns and monitor daily bank statements for reconciliation.
  • Support Management Accounting with inventory reserve calculations.
  • Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely invoicing.
  • Assist with internal and external audits providing necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to budget planning and forecasting processes.
  • Handle ad-hoc finance tasks and provide cross-functional support as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in accounts or finance roles is essential.
  • AAT Qualified (Or currently studying) or equivalent finance qualification.
  • Communication skills especially when speaking with customers.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of working with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities within the department.
