An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Dorset is seeking a dedicated SENCO to lead its SEND provision on a full-time permanent basis from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school where inclusion pastoral care and academic excellence go hand in hand.

Your Role:
Lead and manage the SEND department ensuring high-quality provision for all students with additional needs.
Oversee the implementation of EHCPs and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
Coordinate interventions and support strategies to improve progress and outcomes.
Line-manage Learning Support Assistants and provide coaching and guidance.
Work with parents carers and external agencies to provide holistic support.
Contribute to the wider school improvement strategy and pastoral care provision.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold QTS and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be working towards it.
Have proven experience working with SEND students in a secondary setting.
Demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills.
Be committed to inclusive education and equal opportunities.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
