Key Responsibilities & Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic specialist with a degree in Design & Technology Product Design or a related technical field holding QTS and possessing proven experience teaching across the secondary age range.

In this full-time role you will:

• Instruction & Attainment: Deliver high-quality practical and theoretical lessons in Design & Technology across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and GCSE (KS4). The ability to teach A-Level is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Confidently instruct students in the safe use of workshop tools machinery and modern technologies including CAD/CAM laser cutting and 3D printing.
• Curriculum Development: Plan and deliver a challenging and diverse curriculum focusing on iterative design processes material properties and critical evaluation.
• Safety & Maintenance: Assist with the daily maintenance and organization of the workshops ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols (e.g. CLEAPSS COSHH).
• Collaboration: Contribute actively to the wider faculty sharing best practices and supporting the schools commitment to STEM and practical skills education.
