Job Description

Contract & Start: Permanent Full-Time January 2026

About the RoleThis consistently Outstanding Ofsted Secondary School in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Science Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join its thriving faculty on a permanent full-time basis starting January 2026. Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching as experience grows.
  • Foster a passion for scientific inquiry and curiosity ensuring all students achieve strong academic progress.
  • Actively engage with the bespoke ECT induction program including regular check-ins departmental mentor meetings and scheduled observation cycles.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the preparation of dynamic practical schemes of work.
  • Maintain a secure and inspiring learning environment upholding the schools high standards for behaviour and academic rigour.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS in Science (Biology Chemistry or Physics).
  • Passion for teaching and a deep commitment to ensuring the success of all pupils.
  • Eagerness to embrace professional development and work collaboratively within a supportive team.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Excellent communication skills vital for engaging students and working effectively with mentors and colleagues.
