About the RoleThis consistently Outstanding Ofsted Secondary School in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Science Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join its thriving faculty on a permanent full-time basis starting January 2026. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching as experience grows.
- Foster a passion for scientific inquiry and curiosity ensuring all students achieve strong academic progress.
- Actively engage with the bespoke ECT induction program including regular check-ins departmental mentor meetings and scheduled observation cycles.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the preparation of dynamic practical schemes of work.
- Maintain a secure and inspiring learning environment upholding the schools high standards for behaviour and academic rigour.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS in Science (Biology Chemistry or Physics).
- Passion for teaching and a deep commitment to ensuring the success of all pupils.
- Eagerness to embrace professional development and work collaboratively within a supportive team.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication skills vital for engaging students and working effectively with mentors and colleagues.
