About the RoleA highly respected and Outstanding Ofsted Secondary School in Enfield is seeking an inspiring Art & Design Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a permanent full-time position commencing January 2026. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative practical and ambitious Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 utilising varied mediums and techniques.
- Actively participate in the schools fully funded and supportive ECT induction programme meeting regularly with a dedicated mentor to review practice and plan professional development.
- Facilitate student participation in external competitions exhibitions and co-curricular Art clubs.
- Maintain an inspiring orderly and well-resourced studio environment.
- Track and encourage pupil development celebrating effort and high achievement in creative expression.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS in Art & Design.
- Enthusiasm for fostering student creativity and technical skills in a mixed-gender educational setting.
- Clear potential to become an outstanding classroom practitioner demonstrated by high-quality initial teacher training.
- Strong portfolio and subject knowledge across a range of artistic disciplines.
- Commitment to supporting the schools wider commitment to the Arts in the community.
