Radiation Therapist-Day Shift Location: Waxahachie TX 75165
Shift: 8 hr Days 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
- Accurately position patients and apply immobilization devices as necessary to ensure precision in treatment.
- Monitor patients during procedures to observe reactions and address any complications.
- Maintain precise treatment records and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Perform quality control procedures on equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Educate patients and families on the treatment process side effects and post-therapy care.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T).
- Valid state license as a Radiation Therapist in Texas.
- Prior experience in a clinical radiation oncology setting.
- Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
