Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to adult acute care patients in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) a critical care step-down unit. Responsibilities include managing patients requiring airway management acute BIPAP support arterial and central lines and titrated medicated IV infusions. The role requires adapting quickly vigilance and providing compassionate care using a multi-disciplinary approach.
Location:Rochester New York United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the IMCU.
- Manage patients needing airway management and acute BIPAP support.
- Care for patients with arterial lines central lines and those requiring titrated medicated IV infusions.
- Perform patient assessments medication administration and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Continuously monitor patients using pulse-oximetry and telemetry.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State (in hand).
- Epic experience required.
- Clinical Assessment Medication Administration and Treatment Planning skills
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Not specified.
Special Considerations:
- No locals (75 miles radius).
Scheduling:
- 3x12 hour night shifts.
- Start date: 10/7/2025
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Unit: MSDU
