Job Summary

Role Overview: Java Engineer

Location: Hybrid Sunrise FL (3 days/week onsite by Day 1 )

About the Team & Platform

The OneData Team is enhancing its internal API hosting platform which provides infrastructure and runtime environments for microservices. The platform supports a polyglot environment (Java Kotlin Golang) but Core Java remains the primary stack.

Key Responsibilities

Build and enhance features on the OneData Platform
Develop backend services and APIs using Core Java
Deploy services in a cloud-native environment (currently on-prem migrating to AWS/GCP)
Collaborate with a team of 20 engineers (onshore and offshore)
Mentor offshore engineers and contribute to team-wide engineering excellence

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Core Java
Exposure to cloud deployment (AWS or GCP preferred)
Familiarity with Vert.x or willingness to learn new frameworks
Experience working in microservices or platform engineering environments
Ability to work in a polyglot ecosystem (Java Kotlin Golang)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Vert.x or other reactive frameworks
Understanding of Function-as-a-Service models
Prior experience in enterprise-scale platforms
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills

Interview Process

Assessment: Multi-tech stack backend challenge (Java preferred)
Technical Interview: Live coding session with engineers (IntelliJ preferred)
Final Round: Interview with senior engineers and leadership
