Job Description

Job Title: Technical Applications Specialist Mass Spectrometry Solutions
Location: Specify Location Hybrid/On-site Up to 30% Travel

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Applications Specialist to join our team focused on advanced mass spectrometry-based solutions for semiconductor and analytical applications. This role involves deep technical expertise customer engagement and driving new market applications with hands-on instrument experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain intricate operational knowledge of our MS products under development
  • Perform instrument configuration calibration validation and performance testing
  • Drive new market-driven applications in collaboration with customers
  • Support evaluations at semiconductor OEMs and fabs
  • Provide onsite system setup debugging and performance analysis
  • Identify key application requirements early in engagements
  • Develop application-specific solution bundles tailored to hardware/software features
  • Define support plans and execution timelines for customer engagements
  • Strengthen customer relationships through technical competence and communication
  • Identify new application opportunities and craft proposals
  • Conduct customer presentations and pre-sales product demonstrations
  • Develop and deliver HW/SW operational training sessions to customers
  • Analyze customer samples and provide detailed reports to close sales opportunities
  • Contribute to next-generation product roadmaps and product development processes

Requirements:

  • . with 6 years or Ph.D. with 2 years in Physics Chemistry EE or related fields
  • 5 years hands-on experience developing mass spectrometry-based solutions
  • Experience with analytical instruments like mass spectrometers gas analyzers or plasma diagnostics
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes (etch CVD ALD)
  • Solid knowledge of new product introduction processes including prototyping and system diagnostics
  • Proven ability to deliver customer presentations and pre-sale demos
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of control hardware (PLC) and software scripting (Python LabVIEW) is desirable
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%)
