JOB DISCRIPTION (1) Legal Manager (Compliance & Ethics)
Job Title: Manager Compliance
Reporting Relationship: Reports to General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.
Role Summary: Team player ability to work and collaborate with different business units excellent communication and articulation good understanding of compliance related process practices and laws Result oriented and target driven professional. Should be technology savvy.
Prerequisites:
- Qualification Law Graduate from a premier law college in India.
- Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 Years of experience in handling compliance portfolio as the lead compliance manager / Head of Compliance in large / mid size MNCs. Total PQE should be in the range of 10-15 Years.
- Having any certificate / diploma on Anti-Corruption and Anti Bribery will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of applicable laws and statutes both of India and Global.
Base Location: Noida.
KEY - CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing an understanding on the key business strategies and plan. Using this as a direction for discussions with business teams guiding them on compliance adherence driving accountability.
- Collaborating with Business stakeholders and cross-functional teams on new strategies and initiatives to help perform a compliance risk assessment and provide pragmatic solutions for risk mitigation.
- Develop preventive controls in the system for compliance priorities to be a better business enabler. Connect and collaborate with relevant business stakeholders and key business leaders to guide them in owning and driving compliance assessments.
- Develop implement and coordinate education and training programs that focus on the elements of the corporate-wide compliance program particularly related to key values policies and procedures including those related to Gifts & Hospitalities Anti Bribery and Anti-corruption Anti Trust Date Privacy Conflict of Interest Code of Values and run these programs and policies with Vendors as part of due diligence.
- Monitor adherence to compliance policies and procedures.
- Keeping updated on various laws regulations and industry guidance that impact the compliance program and to be able to guide suitable proactive measures to mitigate risk.
- Prepare presentations actively contribute during reviews and compliance committee meetings risk management committee meetings and ethics committee meetings and own tracking of closures of the action points.
- Working cohesively with team members to foster a culture of best practice sharing consistency in policy application sharing unique activities/projects observed in respective businesses.
- Ideating and providing innovative & creative solutions including technology related in compliance initiatives/enhancing the compliance program including working with cross-functional team stakeholders.
- Systemizing compliance practices and reporting mechanisms; analysing and interpreting compliance trends and actively reporting back to the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer with recommendations and areas for attention and improvements.
- Participate in all external and internal audits.
- Front end and manage the Whistleblowing platforms participate in all internal investigations ethics committee meetings prepare investigation reports and take full ownership of closure in a time bound manger in line with internal WB policy and practices.
- Maintain all registers and repositories related to compliance risk and CSR.
- Actively participate and lead from the front in complying with the annual compliance calendar activities and celebration of annual compliance week program.
- Interact with Head Office in Tokyo and ensure timely reporting.
