The Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary strategic and mission-driven Executive Director to lead Casa Latina into its next era of impact. The Executive Director will guide strategic vision strengthen organizational capacity and foster meaningful partnerships across sectors. This leader will manage a talented team of 20 staff oversee a $45 million annual budget and serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization.
Reporting to the Board of Directors and in close collaboration with staff and membership the Executive Director will ensure the health sustainability and strategic growth of Casa Latina. This is a role for a values-driven leader who excels at the intersection of operations movement-building and community empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Organizational Culture
- Build out and operationalize our strategic plan ensuring alignment across mission budget and staffing.
- Provide direct supervision for our senior leadership team.
- Foster a healthy inclusive and equitable workplace culture grounded in values-aligned anti-racist practices and a culture of belonging.
- Supervise Casa Latinas operations including HR finance contracts and internal systems.
- Ensure continuous improvement by monitoring organizational performance and impact.
- Direct the design and delivery of high-impact programs; support evaluation and innovation.
2. Fundraising & Financial Sustainability
- Lead resource development efforts including grants individual giving and corporate support.
- Maintain relationships with funders and seek new partnerships to diversify revenue.
- Manage the organizational budget in partnership with the Board and senior staff.
- Ensure financial transparency compliance and strategic use of resources.
3. Community Engagement & Advocacy
- Serve as Casa Latinas primary spokesperson strengthening visibility and influence.
- Represent Casa Latina in coalitions networks and policy initiatives that uplift immigrant rights.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies donors and community partners.
- Guide public relations storytelling and outreach strategies that reflect our values and vision.
- Support grassroots leadership and organizing efforts that build community power.
4. Board Engagement
- Maintain a strong partnership with the Board of Directors through proactive and transparent communication and ongoing collaboration.
- Provide timely reporting on strategic financial and operational performance.
- Engage the Board in fundraising governance recruitment and long-term planning.
Who You Are
We recognize that no one candidate will have every qualification. Were looking for a leader with a deep commitment to immigrant justice bilingual fluency (Spanish/English) and a proven ability to lead with integrity courage and care.
You bring:
- 10 years in leadership roles ideally in nonprofit management organizing or advocacy.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Deep understanding of Latinx/e immigrant communities and the impacting systems.
- Strong experience managing senior team members programs and budgets in complex organizations.
- A track record of fundraising success (in six figure ranges and up) across diverse revenue streams.
- Strong emotional intelligence collaboration skills and cultural humility.
- Experience working with nonprofit boards and/or community-based governance models.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience in labor rights worker centers or grassroots organizing.
- Familiarity with navigating employee union relationships in a constructive and equitable manner.
- Media relations and public speaking experience.
- Familiarity with the Seattle/Washington nonprofit or political landscape.
- Preference of an advanced degree (Masters) or equivalent lived/professional experience.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time in-person role based in Seattle WA. The Executive Director must be available for occasional evening/weekend events and local travel. Some regional/national travel may be required.
