Job Description
Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Process Engineering Intern for our operations team for Summer 2026 in our Bellingham location!
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest Sedron Technologies designs manufactures installs and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery Sedron Technologies works with municipal agricultural and industrial customers to process their waste into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.
As a Process Engineering Intern youll gain hands-on experience in process optimization by supporting the analysis development and refinement of manufacturing systems. Youll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to enhance efficiency safety and product quality while learning how to troubleshoot and optimize real-world systems. This is a great opportunity for students to grow into a well-rounded process engineer while contributing to meaningful sustainability-focused technologies.
Because we design build commission and operate our technologies we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
- Analyze develop and optimize manufacturing and process systems to improve efficiency safety and product quality
- Help troubleshoot process issues and support corrective actions to enhance reliability and throughput
- Work cross-functionally with engineering production and quality teams to learn and apply continuous improvement principles
- Contribute to the development and documentation of SOPs and best practices for process control
- Maintain piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Assist in commissioning testing and validation of new and existing process systems
- Utilize data analysis and problem-solving methodologies to identify trends and implement improvements
- Assist with projects related to cost reduction and technology improvements
- Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams of technicians engineers and operators
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving drive bringing energy and excitement to technically challenging work
- Maintain reliable attendance arriving on time and ready to contribute
- Take ownership of additional duties as needed to support Company goals
- Perform other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree from an ABET-accredited program in Chemical engineering or Bioresource Engineering
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to discuss projects clearly and passionately
- Technically savvy with strong problem-solving skills
- Professional polished communication and presentation abilities
- Genuine interest and enthusiasm for process engineering and the companys mission
- Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
- Must have effective verbal reading and written communication skills in the English language
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Compensation for this role is between $23 - $28 hourly
- Additional pay may apply for off-shift hours off-site work or special assignments
- This role may qualify for a discretionary bonus recognizing outstanding contributions to team and company success
- This role requires less than 10% travel
- In compliance with state and local pay transparency laws the expected compensation for this role is shared above. The range provided is Sedrons estimate of the base compensation
- for this role and the final offer will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience skills and geographic location. Compensation may be adjusted within this range to reflect regional cost-of-living differences in states where Sedron is hiring.
Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident for this position. We are unable to sponsor any employment visas.
