A Day in the Life
This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronics Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.The Manufacturing Technician is integral to the production process responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment to uphold the highest quality standards. This role involves monitoring production activities troubleshooting issues and supporting process improvements. With a focus on detail and safety the Manufacturing Technician helps maintain the smooth and efficient functioning of the manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
3rd shift: Sunday to Thursday (9:30 pm- 6:00 AM)
- Devises fabricates installs tests and repairs mechanical equipment and systems involving the movement of physical components in the manufacturing area.
- Assisting engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of devices and systems.
- Installs repairs and upgrades components of mechanical devices and systems in the manufacturing area.
- Devises fabricates and assembles new or modified mechanical components for machinery and equipment.
- Conducts quality assurance/control tests and procedures.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States) vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
- Requires minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have:
- Associate/Bachelor Degree (Electronic Engineering Technology Industrial Technology or related)
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel Word and Power Point
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- SAP knowledge
- Vision System basic knowledge
- PLC basic knowledge
- Proficient Knowledge on the interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics
- Troubleshooting knowledge on electronic and mechanical components equipment or systems.
