About the role
The Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Officer analyses spatial information to provide advice for Local Land Services (LLS).
We are looking for someone with strong GIS and analytical skills who can:
About You
To be successful in this role our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated results driven team player comfortable working in a geographically dispersed team with limited supervision. Additionally you will have:
Demonstrated experience in GIS and spatial data management analysis and visualisation.
Proficiency in ArcGIS and associated ESRI tools (e.g. QuickCapture Survey 123).
Ability to analyse complex datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Experience in streamlining data systems and improving data workflows.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

*To be considered for an ongoing appointment applicants must be ongoing at either an equivalentor higher grade than this advertised vacancy (LLS Grade 6 or Clerk 7/8) OR on a current and valid talent pool at this grade or higher.
Alternatively if you do not meet the requirement for an ongoing appointment you may only be considered for a temporary appointment of up to 12 months.

What to expect next
